CLUB POLO SHIRTS
We will be having club polo shirts soon. There are decisions to be made regarding colours and logo's. As a result, a questionnaire will be going out week beginning Monday 2nd August. Please complete and return to me asap. All questionnaires with a name on wil be entered into a prize draw, to be drawn at the social night on Sunday 19th September.

Thank you to everyone who came along to Preston Primary school fete. I think our display went down very well with the spectators.

The July social night was a huge success. We raised £47 on the raffle which will be going to Carolyn Osborn as sponsorship for her charity channel indoor swim. Carolyn is doing 1690 lengths of the swimming pool on 23rd October. She hopes to raise £10,000 for St. Margarets Hospice. The money from our September and October social nights will also be going to this worthy cause.

June Charity Social Night
Thank you to everyone who supported our Charity night. We raised a fantastic £228 for Cancer Research. A BIG THANK YOU to the Yeovil Liberal Club for providing the hall free of charge.
April social night - £49 raised on the raffle. This gives us a total of £179! Thank you to everyone who has supported our raffles over the last 4 months. The money is going to St. Margaret's Hospice and I will ask that it is accepted in the memory of Margaret who recently passed away after a courageous fight against cancer.

Thank you to everyone who supported the social night on Sunday 8th November. We raised a fantastic £52 on the raflle, giving us a running total of £110.
Our raffle held at the social night on 4th October raised £58
for Yeovil District Hospital.
The raffles in November and December will also be in aid of the hospital.
It has been requested that the money goes to the department that deals with
rehabillitation after heart attacks.
I am very happy to support this as I am sure you are.

Price Increase from 1st September 2009
I am very reluctantly having to increase the admission costs to classes.
This has been brought about by the frequent increases in hall hire from Somerset County Council who are responsible for dual use facilities at Westfield Community School.
Mon Improvers 7.15 - 8.15pm (60 mins) £3.50
Mon Intermediates 8.15-9.45pm (90 mins) £4.00
Enjoy both classes for just £5.00
Wed Improvers 7.30-8.30pm (60 mins) £3.50
Wed extension class 8.30-9.00pm (30 mins) Pay an additional £1.00

Norma held a social night on Tuesday 7th July and raised £30 on the raffle which has been added to the £356.50 already raised for Cancer Research.
Race for life 2009
The sun shone brightly as we jogged the 5k
(3 1/2 miles) route around Sherborne Castle estate.
Diane ran with Poppy, and they completed the course in just under 40 minutes. Leanne accompanied Holly and they managed just over 42 minutes.

Charity Night Success
Wow - what a great night! We raised a staggering £356.50 for Cancer Research. Thank you to everyone for your support.
Norma is holding a social night on Tuesday 7th July at Westend hall, Sherborne. The money from the raffle will be added to this total (Thank you, Norma). We take part in Race for LIfe on Sunday 28th June - we're keeping our fingers crossed that it doesn't rain!
Tesco vouchers
The Tesco voucher scheme has now come to an end. Thank you to everyone who has given me their vouchers - they have all been passed onto Milford Infant & Junior schools. If you find any in your car or handbag, it's not too late to hand them in.
Social Night was a stomping success!

We had a great turn out for our social night on Sunday 17th May.
We raised £81 on the raffle.
The money went to the Moonwalk charity via Sarah Jane and Mandy who completed the moonwalk in 8 hours and 40 minutes the night before. Well done girls!

New - Class Extension!
Due to demand, there will be an extension to the Wednesday evening class. This time will be spent learning an intermediate dance. Dancers will be able to choose whether they wish to stay on or finish at 8.30pm.
